To Install Printer Brother Hl 2140, perform the procedures given below.


First, unbox the printer to begin the Brother Hl 2140 setup.

Take the Brother HL 2140 printer out of the package and keep it on a table or any flat surface.

Check & make sure that you have removed all the packing materials from the Brother HL 2140 printer.

Make sure not to connect the interface cable during the setup. You can connect the interface cable only during the installation.

After the unboxing process, start installing the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly on your Brother printer.

Remove the front cover of the Brother HL 2140 printer and the protective tape if attached.

Now, unpack the drum unit & toner cartridge assembly that are install Printer Brother Hl 2140, and shake them several times.

Shaking the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly to distribute the toner evenly inside the assembly.

Place the drum unit & toner cartridge assembly into the Brother HL 2140 printer and close the opened front cover.

Now you can load the paper into the main tray of the Brother HL 2140 printer.

Pull the main tray out of the Brother HL 2140 printer.

Get a stack of A4 or U.S paper from a trusted retail store.

Release the lever of the tray by pressing the green paper guide.

Place the paper into the main tray of the Brother HL 2140 printer.

Check and make sure that the paper is placed flat in the tray.

Push the paper tray into the printer. Now, print a test page on your Brother HL 2140 printer.

Check and make sure that your Brother HL 2140 printer is turned On.

If the printer is turned off, then press the Power button on the control panel to turn it On.

Wait for the Brother HL 2140 printer to complete the warm-up period.

Once the Ready LED/Go button stops blinking or lights up blue, you can start the test print process.

Now, press the Go button on the Brother printer control panel.

Check the test page printed by the Brother HL 2140 printer.

Once the Brother printer prints the test page successfully, install the printer driver software on your Windows or Mac system.

Make sure not to connect the USB cable unless prompted during the installation.

Insert the installation CD that provided with the Brother HL 2140 printer into the computer’s CD drive.

Download the Brother HL 2140 printer driver software from its official site.

Select the printer model and the default language on the installation screen when prompted.

Click the Install Printer Brother Hl 2140 Driver option on the menu screen when prompted.

Click the USB cable users option followed by Continue.

Perform the instructions displayed on the installation screen.

Connect the Brother HL 2140 printer and the computer using the USB cable when prompted.

Click the Finish button on the final screen of the installation.
